Prediting Post #4

The part that I'm at is when Percy goes into the rivers in Manhattan and talks to the gods of the rivers. Percy asks them if they could do everything they can to stop Kronos army from getting through the rivers, raze there ships. They said no at first so Percy took out the sand dollar Poseidon gave him. They said yes to half a sand dollar each. When Percy came up Annabeth was talking on her cell phone, she hung up. She said Percy we have a problem Michael Yew just called and there are monsters crossing the Williamsburg Bridge. They need help, and the leading monster is.....The minotaur. I predict that they will all defeat the minotaur with Percy's help because Percy had defeated the minotaur four years ago.

Character Essay

My characters name is Percy Jackson, from the series Percy Jackson and The Olympians. He is a very interesting and different main character from other books main character. He has many different moods and emotions. His moods and emotions usually depend on what his weaknesses and strengths are. His weaknesses as a hero are sometimes his strengths as a person.
Percy Jackson is a very loyal character. He loves his friends and family very much would sacrifice his life for them. In the first book The Lightning Thief Percy’s mom was going to bring Percy to Cam half blood, Percy did not know what was going on all he knew was that he needed to get to the top of the hill. When he saw his mother squeezed into dust he thought she was dead; when he got to the camp they told him that she was not dead. When he went on his quest to the underworld to get the lightning bolt he was told along the way that he could try to make a deal with Hades to get his mom back. That shows that he would do anything for family. In the second book The Sea of Monsters Percy has weird dreams where he can talk to his friend Grover, Grover tells him that he needs help and needs Percy to come and help him; Grover was searching for Pan, God of the Wild, Grover was led to a trap and was caught by a Cyclopes. The Cyclopes thought that Grover was a girl Cyclopes and said they were going to get married, Grover created a bond between himself and Percy. Percy went to find him and fought a really bad Cyclopes for his friend. That shows that he would do anything to save his friends. His friends and family are his weakness because if someone were to put them in danger he would try to save them. When Kronos wanted to get to get to Percy all he had to do was put one of Percy’s friends or a family member in danger.
Another one of Percy’s weaknesses is girls, being around them, talking to them or thinking about them. In the forth book The Battle of the Labyrinth Percy and Annabeth had to fight telekinesis and there was like five hundred of them. In order to save Annabeth, Percy had to distract the telekinesis while she ran to the tunnel of the labyrinth. Annabeth didn’t want to go through with it but she agreed. Before she put on her invisibility cap and ran she kissed Percy. He was so surprised and not ready for it, he could have sat there for the rest of his life because he was in so much shock. When it comes to girls, Percy is shy and nervous.
Percy has more weaknesses than strengths; his weaknesses as a hero are his strengths as a person. This is true because if a family or friend is in trouble he would try to get them to safety, that is a weakness as a hero but as a person it makes I friendships stronger to show that he cares so much.

Connection to the World #1

In the book The Last Olympian, the Gods are at war with the Titans. They don't know what they are planning to do. The campers at camp half-blood believe that Typhon is a trick so all the gods will fight him, leaving Olympus unguarded and then the Titans can go in and destroy Olympus. The Gods think it is nonsense and don't believe them, the last war against the Titans the hardest part, that almost destroyed them was Typhon. In the real world our American soldiers don't know what the people from Iraq are planning to do. They could get very mad and just bomb the United States, destroy everything. That is what the Titans are trying to do, destroy everything, even the mortals.

Prediting Post #2

I predicted that the Titans will not show up on Olympus. I don't know why I just think that they are going be no shows, I think it was all a trick to destroy something else.

We got to Connecticut, I thought it was awesome! We arrived at the top of a hill in Connecticut; lot of trees, low stone walls, and big houses. Down the side of the cliff was a highway, down the other side was someones backyard. The property was huge and it was lawn then wilderness. It was a two-story white colonial; I thought it was out in the middle of nowhere. I saw a light in the kitchen window; a rusty old swing under the apple tree. The side walk was lined with those little bean bag stuffed animals. The front porch was infested with wind chimes; brass ribbons tinkled like water and I realized I had to go to the bathroom. The front door was painted turquoise, the name Castellan was written in English and below in Greek.
We knocked on the doorbell and it looked like she had just stuck her finger in a electric socket. She had White hair and a pink house-dress on covered in ash mark and scorch marks. When she smiled her face was unnaturally stretched and she had a high-voltage of green in her eye; i thought that she might be blind. She swung open the door and screamed Luke! She hugged Nico and then looked at me and said Luke again, then she gave me a hug. She smelled like burned cookies, she was as thin as a scarecrow, but she still crushed me. In the living room there was a candle or mirror in every living space, where ever I looked I saw myself. Above the mantel a little Hermes flow around the second hand of a ticking clock. There was a picture frame above the mantel and it had a picture of Luke when he was around 9; it looked exactly like Rachel's drawing. We sat down at the kitchen table and on the counter were hundreds and hundreds of tupperware boxes with peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. The ones on the bottom were moldey, they have been there for a while. The smell was awful, it smelled like a gym locker, which is bad. On the top of the oven were stacks of cookie sheets, each had a dozen burned cookies on them. In the sink was a mountain of empty Kool-Aid pitchers. She grabbed Nico and shock him, her eyes turned glowing green she started talking about her sons fate. She collapsed and before she hit the table I caught her. We put her in a chair and she blinked a couple times; her eyes went back to normal. We decided we needed to get out of there we said our goodbyes and left.

Prediting Post #3

My prediction is that Michael Yew is the spy for Kronos; he is a camper at camp half-blood and head of the Apollo cabin since Lee Fletcher died last summer. He and the Ares got in a fight because Michael Yew spotted a chariot coming toward the camp, the Ares cabin went out and fought the monsters on the chariot and wanted to keep the chariot. The Apollo cabin wanted to keep the chariot but so did the Ares cabin. The Ares cabin said they were not going to fight. I think Michael wanted to keep it so the Ares cabin would not fight on our side, because the Ares cabin has the best fighters. We will see!! :D

The Last Olympian

After the Princess Andromeda explosion all I remembered is swimming as fast as I could using the currents to push me away from the boat. I had a dream while I was knocked out, it was on the Mountain of Othrys, titans palace. It was in the room that Atlas was struggling to hold up the sky. The were two titans talking, they were talking about the explosion and how the gods will be destroyed soon. The seen shifted and I was looking at his friend Nico Di Angelo, Nico said do you think you can beat him without my plan and the seen faded.
The dream faded and I woke to someone saying Percy, I thought it was Beckendorf but it was his brother Tyson. I felt weightless and cold, he sat up and the gossamer sheet floated away. I was sitting on a bed woven with kelp, there were glowing pearls the size of basketballs floating around the room as light. I asked Tyson where I was and Tyson said I was in our fathers palace. I always wanted to visit my fathers palace but never got the chance, I would have been excited but his head hurt. The palace was the most amazing thing I had ever seen and it was in the process of being destroyed. The palace was as big as the city on Mount Olympus with wide courtyards, gardens, and columned pavilions. The gardens were sculpted with coral colonies and glowing sea plants. Twenty or thirty buildings were made of abalone, they were white and gleaming with rainbow colors. Sea creature where swimming through the windows; the path was lined with pearls like Christmas lights.
The main courtyard was filled with warriors, mermen; fish tails and human waist and up, except their skin was blue which I never knew. Some were tending to the wounded and some were sharpening swords. One passed us swimming in a hurry, he had bright green eyes and shark teeth. Outside the main courtyard stood large fortifications towers, walls, and antisiege weapons; but most of these were smashed to ruins. Others were burning with a green light, Greek fire; it can burn underwater. Beyond this point I could see battles raging, flashes of energy, explosians, the glint of armies crashing. A regular human would have thought it was to dark, they would not even be able to survive down there because of the pressure and the temperature was to cold. I saw a giant squid, bigger then a skyscraper. Then a arc of blue light hit the giant squid and it dissolved. Tyson said it was daddy, i did not know he could do that, have unbelievable powers.
I thought I was going to be able to know which one was my dad, I was looking for a big guy with a good tan, black beard, wearing Bermuda shorts and a Hawaiian shirt. I was wrong, he had bushy white beard and gray hair, his battle armor seemed to be weighing him down, he had green eyes, and smile wrinkles around his eyes. The old man told the dolphin a plan and the dolphin swam away. I was introduced to Poseidon wife and his other son. He told me I was not to battle and I had to go fight the battle with Kronos, he said that I should tell Chiron hat is time for me to hear the great prophecy. Tyson said he was going to miss me, we hugged and he went back to work. I told my dad that I think he should let Tyson fight, he said that he must protect him. I said good bye and swam back to camp.

Prediting Post #2

Percy, Annabeth, Rachel, and Nico got out of the labyrinth and had to find a way to get back in. They found a ride to drive them around town so they could find a way back in. When they found one they went in and Rachel led them through. When they got to a crossroads Rachel stopped. Nico smelt death and Rachel saw evil. Percy said he needs to see what was going on in there, he did not want anyone else to go. Annabeth gave him her invisible cap and he set off. My prediction is that Percy will be watching and he will see that Kronos is in full body. I think he will see something that he should not have seen, I also think he will have to fight Luke.

Prediting Post #1

When Percy is on the island Ogygia he found out the girl who was above him, her name was Calypso. They get to know each other and have dinner, tell each other about themselves; Percy tells her about the outside world where he is from. When they are eating dinner Calypso tells him why she is in prison on this island. Hephaestus goes to tell Percy about what he had done. He tells Percy that he started an earthquake all in the Northern west United States. Hephaestus wanted to know if Percy was going to go back to the quest, tell people that Percy is alive or dead. My prediction is that he will go back to the quest and find Grover and Tyson. Him and Annabeth won't be able to convince Daedalus to be on there team. We'll see! :)

Connection to my Life
In the part of the book that I am at Percy is attacked by telekhines, since he is the son of Poseidon he shout water out from under him and flung out of the volcano. When he woke up there was a girl in front of him, he did not know who she was, or where he was.
I have met people who wake up and don't know where they are, it happens all the time when people hit their head. They loose their memory, they don't know who they are, who the people around them are, personal stuff; like where they are from, their age. It is a very serious matter, sometimes you wake up and you are with bad people and since you don't know who they are or anything they can turn you into a bad person. There are many different ways, they don't always end in happy fairy tales.
